The 2024 ABAW x Golden Age Box Hill Lunar New Year Festival achieved a historic milestone, attracting over 120,000 attendees to Box Hill. The festival dazzled with captivating fireworks and a lively ambiance as Bank St thrived with more than seventy vendors.

On November 8th, the Asian Business Association of Wonders (ABAW) proudly hosted the grand Official Media Launch for the highly anticipated 2024 ABAW x Golden Age Box Hill Chinese Lunar New Year Festival. This momentous occasion served as the official kick-off for the celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year, where the festival’s exciting details were unveiled to the public.

Amidst a jubilant atmosphere, attendees were treated to a sneak peek of what to expect at the festival, with revelations about the amusement areas, the unveiling of the largest stage ever seen at the event, a captivating Chinese Cultural exhibit, and a myriad of other exciting elements that will make this year’s festival truly unforgettable.

Distinguished guests and community leaders, including Members of Parliament and local councillors, were also in attendance, adding to the prestige and significance of the event. Their presence emphasized the unity and support from the community as they joined hands in anticipation of the upcoming festivities.

We are proud to share a remarkable recent event that exemplifies our commitment to community engagement and philanthropy. The Asian Business Association of Whitehorse took a significant stride in supporting a noble cause by sponsoring a dedicated team of runners to participate in the prestigious 2023 Nike Melbourne Marathon. This heartwarming endeavor was aimed at raising crucial funds for the Eastern Health Foundation, an organization tirelessly working to enhance healthcare services and improve the well-being of individuals in need. By uniting under the banner of philanthropy, our association, alongside these inspiring runners, demonstrated the power of collective action and the importance of giving back to the community. ABAW and Fraser’s Property Australia collaborated to organize a networking event that brought together more than 50 enthusiastic participants. This distinctive gathering seamlessly blended local residents with dedicated SME business owners, fostering a lively exchange of ideas and experiences. Our focus on the crucial topic of work-life balance led to captivating panel discussions and engaging conversations, exploring the complexities of aligning professional aspirations with personal well-being. This event served as a platform for sharing profound insights, fostering connections, and exemplifying our unwavering commitment to nurturing a thriving community while addressing real-world challenges that resonate with our diverse audience. We are thrilled to reminisce about the spectacular 2023 ABAW x Golden Age Moon Festival held at the iconic Queen Victoria Market on September 23rd and 24th. This unforgettable event brought together a diverse community of over 80,000 attendees, all eager to immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Asian culture. The festivities were a feast for the senses, with mesmerizing performances including vibrant lion dances that enthralled the audience and traditional costume parades that showcased the beauty of our heritage. It was a weekend filled with joy, unity, and celebration, exemplifying the spirit of the Asian community in Melbourne. We look forward to creating more cherished memories at our future events and continuing to promote cultural diversity and appreciation.

On the 17th of August, 2023, The ABAW hosted a remarkable Finance Networking Dinner that had attendees buzzing with excitement and anticipation. The event, held at an upscale venue, brought together a distinguished gathering of over 70 passionate finance professionals and entrepreneurs. The ambiance was truly captivating as guests mingled, exchanged contacts, and established meaningful connections.

ABAW went above and beyond to ensure the evening’s success. Exquisite cuisine and a diverse selection of beverages were offered, delighting the palates of all participants. The event provided a dynamic platform for individuals spanning the finance sector to engage in thought-provoking discussions, share invaluable insights, and cultivate new collaborative partnerships. ABAW’s Finance Networking Dinner undeniably achieved its goal, leaving attendees enthusiastic about the prospects of future collaboration and mutual growth. On the 15th of June 2023, ABAW hosted an exquisite End-of-Financial-Year  cocktail networking event that left attendees buzzing with excitement. The event, held at a stylish venue, drew an impressive crowd of over 90 enthusiastic professionals and entrepreneurs. The atmosphere was electric as guests mingled, exchanged business cards, and fostered meaningful connections.

ABAW spared no effort in ensuring that the evening was a resounding success. Sumptuous canapés and a wide array of refreshing drinks were served, tantalizing the taste buds of all in attendance. The event provided a vibrant platform for individuals from various industries to engage in stimulating conversations, share valuable insights, and forge new business alliances. ABAW’s EOFY cocktail networking event was an undeniable triumph, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating future opportunities for collaboration and growth.

On the 13th of May 2023, Burwood Brickworks was adorned with love and appreciation as the community came together to celebrate a heartwarming Mother’s Day event, organized by the Asian Business Association of Whitehorse (ABAW). This special occasion aimed to honor and cherish the incredible mothers and mother figures who fill our lives with love, support, and inspiration.

The event was a resounding success, creating a magical atmosphere that radiated warmth and gratitude. The venue was transformed into a haven of beauty, with elegant decorations, floral arrangements, and a touch of sophistication to honor the mothers in attendance. Families and friends eagerly gathered to partake in the festivities and show their heartfelt appreciation.

On the 8th of April 2023, the ABAW event team transformed Burwood Brickworks into a vibrant hub of excitement and wonder as it hosted a captivating Easter Market. This enchanting event was a delightful celebration of the Easter season, inviting visitors of all ages to immerse themselves in a world of joy and festivity.

The atmosphere was alive with energy as families and friends strolled through the market, surrounded by colorful decorations and tantalizing aromas. A diverse range of stalls showcased an array of handmade treasures, from intricately painted Easter eggs to beautifully crafted jewelry and home decor. Local artisans and vendors poured their creativity into their offerings, ensuring a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind gifts for shoppers to discover. The market became a treasure trove of unique finds, sparking excitement and delight in every corner.

We are thrilled to share that the Autumn market at Burwood Brickworks was a resounding success! We are so grateful for the overwhelming support of the community, and we are especially pleased to see that everyone had a great time at the event.

We were particularly thrilled to see the excitement on the faces of the children who enjoyed the petting zoo. It’s moments like these that make community events so special and rewarding.
